I'm a rookie writer enjoying the flow of words sprouting out of my fingers. Sometimes it goes easy, at other times it's a real struggle. I love and crave any kind of feedback, good or bad. I write when I can, but a husband, two kids, 4.2 cats (aging from 15 years to 4 months) do take up most of my time. Yet I found the time to try out something I never thought I was good at. I started writing. I came to love it and enjoy the new friendships I've made with fellow writers I simply adore (well I like the writers, but adore their work *grins*)

Review: Mastered: Teagan

Mastered: Teagan Mastered: Teagan by Krystal Shannan
My rating: 0 of 5 stars

what a dilemma teagan has to make. losing her mate and child messed her up big time and she's convinced she's not worth having true feelings. only pain can take it all away, pain delivered by a skilled Master, one who knows exactly how to treat her, how to hurt her to make her forget.
big is her surprise when one evening she gets paired with Finn, a wolf, like herself. the one thing she doesn't want want because wolves are possessive, arrogant and did she mention possessive?
even bigger is her surprise when he manages to push her buttons even harder then any master has before, the biggest surprise is that he hasn't physically hurt her like she normally craves. how is that possible?
Finn on the other hand knows he's got his hands full with teagan, breaking her mental state will be hard. getting to the why even harder. but for finn she is worth it because as fate decided teagan is his one true mate and he'll do anything to help her, make her better. to make her his.

yes this is set in the bdsm scene however it is not the main subject in this story. this story is full of emotions, raw and real! a tearjerker to the end, simply a must read.
and cheeky fearies!!!

Review: Tempting the Tiger

Tempting the Tiger Tempting the Tiger by Sennah Tate
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

things get hot pretty quick when the new director shows up at the library. just as fast does Sarah realize something isn't quite right with why he is there and how he makes her feel, or rather what he does to her magic. magic she has no real clue how to reign in or keep it under control without turning into a raving sex addict because sex is what is needed to refuel. because of this she doesn't use magic so she doesn't need to refuel.
sloan on the other hand has other ideas when his tiger gets all lovey dovey when he finds his mate. of course things aren't that easy when sarah happens to listen in on a phone conversation and finds out his ulterior motive of becoming the new director. how will she be able to give it all a place in her life? will she someday be able to control her magic? how important is sloan to her? she feels betrayed and rightly so.

these are only a few of the questions that come to mind when reading this fast paced story. well written with a good plot line that will span over a few books i'm sure, this part of the story does get its HEA so no cliffhangers for the couple!!

Review: Claimed by the Bear

Claimed by the Bear Claimed by the Bear by Sennah Tate
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

in this second installment we see things from a different perspective then in the first book. it shows us more then the characters themselves realize and i like that. it kept me on the tip of my chair while reading. once more we join a witch, one who's helping the one we got to know in the first book.
still it is a big no no to engage anything with a shifter (which the first witch kindly ignored when she mated with a tiger *winks* ). this time the witch in question runs into a bear of a man, literally and figuratively. she knows she shouldn't want him so much but that one orgasm she received from him has given her more magic then she ever though possible. she does her hardest to fight temptation but other factors have other ideas and again and again they're thrown together.
will they be able to go beyond who they are and what is at stake?
who knows but i would suggest you join many of us as we now painstakingly wait for the next book to learn more!!

Tempted by the Bear - Part 9: BBW Shifter Werebear Romance Tempted by the Bear - Part 9: BBW Shifter Werebear Romance by V. Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

what an ending! 8 parts went before this and so much happened in each an every part that the ending had to be something worth remembering! and V Vaughn surely delivered.
everything and everybody get the closure they deserve, even we the readers! for nine short reads in a row she kept up wanting more, needing to know and now we do.
i hope you want to know too and you pick this one up in the separate parts or the bundled parts. it's worth having!

Review: Alphas in the Wild

Alphas in the Wild Alphas in the Wild by Ann Gimpel
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

i adore ann gimpel books but getting three awesome reads in one book? it can't get any better woohie!
story one : almost fully divorced, moira sets of to work in a whole different area. she didn't expect to run into an old crush of hers. a crush that very quickly lets her know that his crush on her hasn't died and that he still wants her.
finally able to tell her why he couldn't take things as far as he wanted to a decade ago, it doesn't take them long before their passion builds. but her soon to be ex husband has other plans! her old crush turns out to be the next arch druid, a powerful one at that, but her ex also happens to be a native shaman gone bad. this can't lead to anything good, right?
it's like sitting on the tip of your chair reading this and the other two stories. twists and turns at every corner, drama and heartache, all the components are readily available for one thrilling story after another!
wish i could shift myself, i'd be a fly on ann's wall and read the books as they get born from her fingertips.

Bear His Baby (Bear Shifter BBW BWWM Paranormal Matchmaker Romance) Bear His Baby (Bear Shifter BBW BWWM Paranormal Matchmaker Romance) by Scarlett Grove

once back on the mainland things aren't as settled as they thought they were, not between them and not with the wolfpack that chased her all the way to juneau.

will they get the happily after they so deserve or will she fall victim to the wolves chasing her?

Review: Alien Fighter's Woman

Alien Fighter's Woman Alien Fighter's Woman by Scarlett Grove
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tabby sees no other option as to enlist in the draconian lottery. she wants to get away from her cheating, drug dealing ex boyfriend and sees this as her way out. she sees no further then the luxuries that will be bestowed on her, the designer clothing she'll be able to wear. in fact she comes over as being a bit selfish. the draconian that gets matched up with her isn't really helping either, he more or less has to drag her along a secret mission, a mission that turns out to be one where she can help. if he would allow her....
another bride is paired up but this time it takes a bit more effort to get a perfect match. i had a bit of a harder time to see through er selfishness, yes her situation wasn't ideal but how she looked at the pairing wasn't ideal either even though she went willingly.

still this was a good, fast paced story in the draconian world and i can't wait for more of them (maybe even wish for one of my own ;) )

Review: THIS ROAD - The Complete Series

THIS ROAD - The Complete Series THIS ROAD - The Complete Series by Karolyn James
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

an emotional story that starts with a death of one of the members of Road Son. coming back after years is hard for Bryce, he left because he couldn’t handle seeing the girl he loved being hurt and used. but what was he to do? she was with his cousin, the now late Blake, and the MC that surrounded their group had their own rules. you don’t mess with a member's “old lady”, as Blaked called her. one kiss was all it took for him to know he couldn't stay and keep his feelings under wrap.
now he was back to bury his cousin. his lifestyle finally caught up with him. as he return and sees Clara he knows his feelings haven’t changed one bit. he has the code to honor but as days pass and they get together he knows he’s fighting a losing battle.

join bryce and clara as they struggle with the past, their separation and giving in to their feelings. how will the MC and the band take it? how will they find out?
this was an emotional and raw read. not everything is greener on the other side, or better said, maybe that other side was and is greener?
i was engrossed in this trilogy from beginning to end and had a hard time putting it down. once more karolyn has managed to give us another piece of literary brilliance.

Review: See No Evil

See No Evil See No Evil by Vivian Wood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

it took me a while to get started on this series but after having read the prequel i was very much interested in reading the rest (who are now all on the short list).
just over one year it has been where the alpha guardians have been living, training and working together under the watchful eye of their Mistress.
rhys wasn't looking for anyone in particular but when they're called in to look at the disappearance of an elderly woman, he almost loses it when his eyes land on Echo. his bear going into full protect mode giving his fellow guardians a hard time to keep him under control.
going from one drama to another disaster he can't help but feel compelled towards the curvaceous woman and he's willing to do anything to keep her safe and close.
only pere mal has other ideas about that as he's plotting his own little schemes and he needs echo because she's a key to start it all!

join the guardians as they start the fight where they all traveled through time for and along the way manage to find their better half (they can be a moody bunch!) a captivating, fast paced read that i couldn't put down until i reached the last page!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

she did it again. i only recently discovered Ann but jeesh do i love her writing. it doesn't matter if it's dystopian, dragons or anything else. i'm just devouring as much as i can handle.
with this book she once more proved how much of a master she is at weaving a story, this time even traveling through time. or rather a fae that wants her grieving husband to find happiness and the joy of children. it doesn't matter to her for that to happen she has to whisk a non suspecting siobhan from 2015 and drop her in 1870!!
things are almost literately sizzling between siobhan and her highland lord/druid.

it was a wonderful and addicting read. i wouldn't mind that fae turning into a mischievous matchmaker now she had a first success (hint hint!!)

Review: Fighting for Wolves

Fighting for Wolves Fighting for Wolves by Roxie Noir
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

grey stumbles up on a corpse in a dark alley. the first murder in this little town in 30 years!
just her luck. Dane, the towns newly promoted detective, has to keep his wolf in check when he has to interview Grey. Mine is all his beast is telling him. but he also feels Grey isn't telling him everything just as his gut tells him she's innocent.
relieved to be dropped of at home, Grey has a hard time struggling with her secret addiction. should she go back or not? addiction getting the better of her, she makes her way down into the dark corners of the shop. behind locked doors she feels the familiar thrill wash over her when she's around the betting tables. only she isn't welcomed this time. though she know nothing is her fault, she kept her mouth shut about her real whereabouts the night before. things start to get hairy, that is until Isaac steps in and removes the individual making her time here hellish.
later on she even gets arrested and put in a holding cell. when isaac comes in to keep her company and dane joins them, it becomes clear to her the two men know each other. which is confirmed when dane tells her they're mated.
how these three will move on from everything is a big question with more drama and bad choices lurking around the corner.
the start of this story reads a bit more complicated BUT it adds so much to the story when you see all the pieces falling into place.
really, really loved the story, the emotion, hardship. there are quite a few time you could say : love is, taking care of each other no matter what!

Review: Bad Boy Fire Bear: Paranormal Bear Shifter Romance

Bad Boy Fire Bear: Paranormal Bear Shifter Romance Bad Boy Fire Bear: Paranormal Bear Shifter Romance by Bella Love-Wins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

the first in a series with their own endings and i'm already wanting the next one!
joleen is cautious. trapped in a bad relationship she just wants to work, scrape all her cash/tips together in hopes of saving enough on the sly to get away from her abusive drunk, soon to be ex-boyfriend Cole. when jax crosses her path she's not sure how to take it. word quickly get's to her that he's a one night stand man but that shouldn't interest her, she's not looking for a man, not even for a one night stand! she's looking for an affordable place to stay!
fate had other ideas because jax keeps coming back into her life like a moth to a flame. she's seriously starting to doubt his interest in her but she can't deny the fact that the interest is there too the other way around. cocky as he sounds, big as he is, he still makes her feel safe and wanted and itching to just roam her hands all over him.
it doesn't take long for jax to figure out how her situation is and he and his bear are having a hard time just leaving it be. he would prefer to just whisk her away and keep her safe and for himself alone.
it was a joy to read about these two, things certainly didn't go easy! yeah there was some heart trampling at some point and lots of regrets.
there is quite a bit of drama in this story and you can understand why people made certain choices, it's how they deal with it that makes this story such an awesome read!

i'll be looking out for the rest in the future

Review: Chosen

Chosen Chosen by V. Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

we met parker in the previous book. he didn't paint a good picture of himself then and frankly, he doesn't start so good in this one either. he's in serious need of a good take down. maybe trixie may be the one to do that for him. he's actually very sure she is THE one because a few years ago he bit her but didn't complete their mating which left Trixie in a bit of a pickle. ever since she's been experiencing strange things, faster healing, hormones all over the place.
trixie is dead set on avoiding parker, she doesn't like how he goes through women like a knife trough butter. yet he keeps coming to her and something inside of her can't resist him. when she learns more about her "condition" a whole new world opens up to her and helps her put the feelings she's getting for parker into perspective.
but will she be so accepting when she learns the truth about what he did to her? will parker be able to convince her they're meant to be?
another short read by Vaughn. her winter valley wolves are something else, figuratively and literally. this story has a bit more conflict and a few more hurdles to get over before they can have their HEA.

Berch Berch by V. Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Berch is the last of the brothers to get his HEA. his case is a bit different because he knew who his mate was since he was three years old. staying friends with her was always easy. even the saying you have to let go what you love to get it back, fits him.
when raven returns, she's doing a hard job of keeping up the appearance that she's successful and has a good paying job instead of a low paying waitress gig. actually she got neither since she's in between jobs. as she returns to winter valley for her high school reunion, she "saved" by Berch. he helps her back up when she fell. raven remembers him fondly, and she certainly doesn't mind how growing up changed him.
his touches warm her and secretly she hopes that maybe things can get more heated.
Raven has a few things to cope with and the big question will be how she'll cope when Berch tells her how he really feels and for how long and how he knew!
another sweet fast read by V vaughn. the last of the brothers is of the market but i'm sure there are more eligible bachelors in Winter valley!

devon had it all figured out. get work done, pack things up and then move to paris to find herself a loving frenchman!
that plan quickly resolves when first she gets rear ended by Bosun. he's willing to fix up her car. it's clear pretty quickly that he'd love to do more then just do the car. he's brindle's older brother so if you read the first book you know there is more to them then meets the eye, though what the eye sees is a neatly and hulky formed man! always having been the ladies man, his reputation precedes him but that doesn't stop devon doing things her way. when bosun comes clean about who and what he is, devon has a lot more to think about.

what will devon do once she learns the truth?

another sweet and quick read and another lindholm brother of the market! loved it xxx

Review: Brindle

Brindle Brindle by V. Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Brindle sets of the short stories of the Winter Valley Wolves as they, one by one, find their fated mates.
not everything is easy, specially not for Brindle. finding his mate, turning her and then being left behind because then she decides being a wolf is not her thing. but brindle can't hate her, everything happened so fast! he also knows she's going to a rough time as she goes into heat and the only option is being with him, not just being but consummating their mating. it's the only way to lessen the feelings.
katie is rather reluctant at first when he shows up at her school but her hormones quickly get the best of her and it doesn't take long before they're doing the horizontal mambo...
but still this doesn't change things for katie, or do they?
a fast paced story with an ending that doesn't leave you hanging. a lovely and quick read.

Unwrapping Her Perfect Match Unwrapping Her Perfect Match by Kat Latham
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

tall girl Gwen feels out of place at the charity ball. she's only here to help out her sister, who wants to make sure her boyfriend doesn't get auctioned off to some other woman who has not so savory thoughts about him.
Gwen is surprised when a huge man comes to her and starts a conversation. in a way she feels refreshed that she's literally dwarfed by this huge man. he turns out to be "little" John, a rugby player on the same team as her sisters boyfriend. one thing leads to another and instead of helping out her sister she bids on John instead.
what starts as a friendly get together, grows to be a lot more, then some huge misunderstandings muck everything up!
will they be able to work through these? will they listen to each other and their hearts?

a wonderful sweet and romantic read. it's fitting for this season. the characters are just lovable! the conflicts as real as they can be and their journey a joy to read!

effie returns home after the death of her mom. she's set on running the B&B her mom left her. listening to the news, she gets a bit spooked because woman exactly like her are disappearing. still wanting to go out for a drink she decides to go to the local pub, knowing there are always enough people around.
she runs into some old girlfriends from school and gets an ever bigger surprise when she's told her friend from eons ago, Abel is back into town. he's one of the local cops now.
when he arrives, effie has to conclude that he isn't as brawny as he was as a kid. he's a hulking tower of a man now. rekindling their friendship goes so easy.
sadly their night takes a turn into strange territory when Effie feels like she's being watched. it doesn't take Abel long to figure out what's happening and his bearly instincts take over, the sole thing on his mind if keeping Effie safe at all cost.
the situation they're now in is dangerous but still that old familiar feeling between them creeps in and this time it is a lot stronger then all those years ago.
is effie really a target? will abel be abel to find the creep? is there more at play then just woman disappearing?
loved the drama and the core of this story. it isn't just wham bam, thank you mam. the story is build up and reaches a peak that's hard to repeat.
just a shame the ending felt a bit rushed and could easily have lasted a bit longer.

Review: Can't Get You Off My Mind

Can't Get You Off My Mind Can't Get You Off My Mind by Emma Roman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

we're off with a new series set in Somewhere Texas. here and there you'll come across a familiar face or place.
when their grandfather died, not one of them thought he could still make their lives a living hell. in order to get their share of their inheritance he wants his grandsons to find a wife AND have a baby within ONE YEAR!
Roark doesn't like this, not one bit. he doesn't want a wife, he doesn't need a wife, he can live without one. however he's also not willing to give up the family business he's worked so hard for.
when fate brings Zoe accidentally into his life, Roark starts plotting. maybe zoe is the solution to everything. as the days goes on his interest in her grows. what his heart already knows his brains doesn't want to acknowledge and when he makes an offer he's sure she can't refuse, she does the opposite and walks out.
sadly someone in zoe's family has a turn for the worse and rethinking everything she sees no other way as to go back to roark and ask if the deal is still valid...
how will these two work through things? i loved his brothers in this story, they have a wonderful dynamic between them and i can't wait to read how each of them will deal with the stipulations of their inheritance hihi.

if you love and like Somewhere TX and their inhabitants, you'll love these just as much and are a must read!

Review: Gretel

Gretel Gretel by Kim Faulks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

this is a dark read with situations coming up that for some may not be too easy to read. but once you start reading and get into the main character you can't help but want to cheer for her to hang on, that things will change and that she won't be in this horrendous situation forever!
dark and broody but with an ending she deserves!!

Furever Yours Furever Yours by Catherine Vale
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

two people wanting to get away from it all. one goes back to her family to help out at their rest, the other a guest trying to escape his duties as right hand man/wolf to his Alpha.
it doesn't take long for the two to end up together and strong bonds are formed/made. when one of them gets called away it's a race to get back together because what started out as simple attraction turns out to be so much more!

a wonderful seasonal read that reads easy and doesn't leave you hanging in the end. the roads are rocky but the journey is worth it!

Review: Adaira

Adaira Adaira by Ariana Hawkes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ariana is doing it on purpose! many times i've hinted that reading Tamika's story would be so good! but no.... she keeps amazing us with other shftr app stories that keep on getting better. adeira's story is no exception to that! but we're closing in since adeire is tamika's niece. she came to town hoping tamika could set her up with one of the shifters that use the app too. she'd love one who can handle her and her temperament.
there is one bear that tops the chart, or rather list. he's a mountain of a man, who lives on the mountain. to get them together isn't an easy feat. first he shows up late, which in turns makes her think she's been stood up. after a very apologetic all from him and explanation, she feels a bit ashamed. it takes him almost a full day to come down from the mountain on foot. giving him a second change and not adverse to some hiking herself, they agree she'll make the trek up the mountain.
only she doesn't reach his cabin, she's tricked into believing a stranger is the person she's meeting, only it turns out to be a cocky alpha wolf.
it's the onset for more misunderstandings but they quickly get solved and she's rescued by her mountain bear.
but if we think it's easy sailing from then on out we're wrong!

with a bit of drama thrown in the mix, this shftr story once more sets the tone for an excellent series. some soul-searching (or digging) is needed to let fate have her way!

Review: Triad: A Fox-Shifter Romance

Triad: A Fox-Shifter Romance Triad: A Fox-Shifter Romance by Cara Wylde
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

the little secret is out but kept at the same time. as they all make things work there is more news trickling in from the outside. news about the trial, facts that makes them consider more is at play and the ruse they're all upholding will have to stepped up.
i don't want to tell too much about this part because it's rather emotional, a rollercoaster for most of them and they have to keep a clear head to anticipate the move of everyone else!
can't wait to read the next part, so many things were told or hinted at that i'm just too curious, it's a pain to have to wait aargh

Review: Smolder

Smolder Smolder by Sennah Tate
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

we all know what happened in the previous books and well sometimes i belief a bad boy should be able to redeem himself.
he's trying his best but nobody wants to give him a job and when he gets one they belief that he should work of his debt and most refuse to pay him, leaving him as good as broke most of the time.
the only constant in his life is his gran and the biggest regret is letting ally go. knowing she's back in town isn't really helping his feelings but when he finds his gran near consciousness, he sees no other way as to go over to the neighbors, where ally lives with her grandmother, and beg her to come with him to check up on his gran.
when it happens again a few days later, it's ally's grandmother that suspects more is going on and sends the pair on some kind of treasure hunt.
the panther in him still wants ally and isn't so sure they should go together but her gran insists she'll take care of of the other woman as they search for some hidden waterpool.
it's a journey full of revelations and confessions.
i loved this little glimpse in the life of another panther. he didn't have an easy time and i sure hope that there once will come a time when luck is on his side!

happy to run her own bar, be the boss over her own time, paid her own car, greta is a bit of a wild child. not really a child no more, she's still single at the age of 32, much to the chagrin of her parents, the alpha pair of the local pack. there isn't a time when either of her parents try to set her up with possible mates but she loves her freedom more then the prospect of having to others wanting her attention.
that is until former local Elliot and his mate, Shane, walk into her bar. there is some interest but before things can go any further one of them ends up in a bit of a fight with another shifter. greta knows a fight can draw in a crowd and once in a while is fine but she rather have no fights at all.
what will she do with them?
what will her parents do?
she had to admit that Elliot had changed a lot since he was a teenager and shane was his opposite. could it be?

Review: Alien Warrior's Mate: Draconians

Alien Warrior's Mate: Draconians Alien Warrior's Mate: Draconians by Scarlett Grove
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

a terrorist group made a huge mess of Loretta's plans. she was just in the building for a job interview, not to be taken hostage and threatened to be killed because an out space race of dragon shifters has chosen earth to "provide" them with willing woman to mate with.
Mylash would rather stay at home and fight at the front but the big chief made them go ahead with the mating excursion. ugh he couldn't see the appeal of taking a human female as a mate, he wasn't interested at all. things on earth are taking a turn for the worse when the news of the attack reaches their ship. Mylash is sent down to take care of things. never before had the dragons shown their real power to humans but now they were wanting to kill their own females so dragons couldn't mate them. it kind of forced the issue. Mylash is taken by surprise when he finds a single young female huddled in a corner, not sure what to make of it initially, he's quickly realizing his dragon had other plans with this particular female!
how is he going to convince her that they're meant to be? the only good thing is, she wasn't in the available group so he can hide her while they make their mind up!

a lovely read. Mylash is upfront and doesn't beat around bush about what he wants and what he wants is Loretta, only Loretta isn't so meek and willing as he'd like her to be.

shifters from outer space, i like the twist given in this story about the how and the why. a fresh look on things makes for a wonderful story!

Review: Eric's Edge

Eric's Edge Eric's Edge by Holley Trent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

eric and maria, two unlikely people that came together to help each other. rather eric helping out maria. he tried his best to hide his true feelings but even his bear had enough of it and wants maria to be fully theirs. guarding his heart he tells her there won't be anymore hook ups when she's feeling overwhelmed by her anger.
but the company she works for has other ideas and puts them together on a RV in order to pick up two bear-children who were kidnapped by their dad.
i only picked up this series and not having read the prior books doesn't deter from the story. there where needed enough is told to have a general idea how things came to be and don't feel left out.
it was a heartfelt story that mostly revolved around trust and the bravery to take that first step into the unknown.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

the seventh king has found his queen. with his own dark past he's not so sure he deserves her but it doesn't take long for all the signs pointing him in the right direction! tormented as he is, he can't let her out of his sight and so joins her in her search to find her sister.
a lot more of the plot-story throughout king's-series is revealed but we're still not closer to finding out! *starts biting nails for the next king being "check- mated" and find out more!!
a simple must have!
