I'm a rookie writer enjoying the flow of words sprouting out of my fingers. Sometimes it goes easy, at other times it's a real struggle. I love and crave any kind of feedback, good or bad. I write when I can, but a husband, two kids, 4.2 cats (aging from 15 years to 4 months) do take up most of my time. Yet I found the time to try out something I never thought I was good at. I started writing. I came to love it and enjoy the new friendships I've made with fellow writers I simply adore (well I like the writers, but adore their work *grins*)

Review: Moon's Law

Moon's Law Moon's Law by Michelle Fox
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

overhearing a conversation at the local java makes charlotte be on edge. more likely her wolf. she doesn't know how fast she wants to get away to prevent shifting in front of humans who don't know werewolves are fact and not just things that go bump in the night. rounding a corner she crashes into Kane, the local sheriff, luckily also a made werewolf like herself. antsy as her wolf is to run free , kane's nearness subdues her wolf and
he desire to shift goes away. calm enough to return to the java and pick up her car, kane is left behind to deal with an old bitty that has seen charlotte crashing into him and makes it into a tale that they're getting married! trying hard to convince her that is not true, he gives up and goes after charlotte, wanting to make sure she made it back in one piece. only he still finds her car in the parking lot next to the java and just a bit further he finds her purse. alarmed at what happened he starts to search for her just as he gets called in for a check up about a few shots that been heard nearby. once he hears who's involved and why he doesn't hesitate to do the check up himself, hoping that the wolf they were after isn't charlotte.
as he arrives it's clear who were the shooters and he swiftly locks them up in his cruiser and then sets out to look for the wounded wolf. he finds charlotte, limping and bloody. stubborn and proud she wants to get home on her own but she relents to kane who makes the journey twice as fast as he carries her in wolf form. making sure she's ok and taken care of kane returns to his cruiser. not even making the small clearing where it stood, he's getting shot at. the shooter is skilled and very much in the know about werewolves because he doesn't give up and doesn't even care that while trying to shoot kane he also shoots the two humans trapped in the back of the cruiser.
Kane manages to alert Tao about what is happening.
this all sets the start of a race against time and huge issues to try an keep things under wraps because they still don't want the humans to know about werewolves.
next to this all kane is struggling with his sudden, but insistent nudging wolf, attraction to charlotte; she smells so nice and she calms him like no other. on top of this all he still has to deal with his mother, who's now convinced he's having a girlfriend and wants him to bring her over for dinner. can things get any worse?
you'll have to pick up your own copy to find out! luckily the book ends without a cliffhanger but that still doesn't mean everything is smooth sailing!
if you enjoyed the previous ones in the series then you just have to get this one too.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

wanting to get away from it all, risha sets out for the mountains. on her way up to the hidden springs she first meets a wolf then a park ranger. at the springs she's alone, at first but then in comes Colt and an instant attraction. she can't help but act on her own feelings and the brazenness Colt is showing. before long the two end up having some very heated and fulfilling moments. enjoying in the afterglow they get interrupted by jericho, who turns out to be a close friend of Colt. one who also seems to be very interested in her and vice versa. battling with these urges it doesn't take much convincing on Colt's part that it's ok to act on them.
both men invite her up to their cabin for a bit of more fun in a more comfortable setting.
is this the start of something beautiful? or just the start of one big nightmare?
Between her wolves she feels the safest but is she really when the morning after packs so much surprises with her ending up kidnapped and almost killed?
a tale of finding peace in the most unlikely of places, danger and drama, secrets needing to be kept!

Review: Not Another Bad Boy

Not Another Bad Boy Not Another Bad Boy by Devyn Morgan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

in a way parker can't grasp the fact that Tom is his boyfriend. before him, he'd have sex in whatever way he could get it, where didn't matter, with whom mattered even less. But Tom, he was another ballgame. Tom listens, Tom cares. But Tom is as vanilla as they come and it's starting to eat Parker up. vanilla is fine but he wants more, he wants some of the passion he had before Tom was his boyfriend. he wanted to be used, to be bossed around and he liked it a bit rough too.
how will he make Tom understand?
a mutual friend is starting to see the cracks and when he confronts Parker, he breaks and confesses. sadly he doesn't just confess to their friend but to Tom as well who had happened to walk up to them and hearing it all.
the way he reacts has Parker at rock bottom and he sees no way how to work through the issue. luckily their mutual friends let him stay but in the end that wont solve anything.
the big question now is will they even talk to each other again?
this story proves that even though you can love each other a lot, you still have to communicate to make things work. not doing that leads only to a lot of heartache.

whether or not they get their HEA is for you to find out when you pick up a copy of this short story!

Review: Bossy: A Stepbrother Romance:

Bossy: A Stepbrother Romance: Bossy: A Stepbrother Romance: by Kim Linwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

a one night stand but one neither is able to really forget about. not even exchanging names.
months later they meet again. as it turns out he's the son of the man her mother plans to marry in a few weeks! and he's her new temp boss during her summer break before she goes back to college.
it's sizzling from the second they get together again. he manages to push her every single button and it riles her up. when he starts with a practical joke, all bets are off when she plans retaliation.
not to mention the case they want her to work on. she's supposed to represent the same firm that drove her father to commit suicide... it's one big argument they can't seem to agree on.
things come to a boil and they react in the best of ways, ending up naked together. but that's not the end of everything. she's still battling with her ex, the one that prompted her braveness to have their one night stand to begin with. from texting to calling he's now moved things up and is blackmailing her with a video.
so much happening that there is so much that can go wrong. emotions are all over the place. how do you fight feelings that are now said to be forbidden, now their parents have married? will the ex get the outcome he wants?
even with the hint of forbidden hanging above them, and all the issues they have to work through, it seems they might come to some understanding eventually. how? you'll have to read for yourself. there are steaming hot parts in this book, just as much as there is time for goofing off and other times for some serious drama!
a very nice read

Review: Fall

Fall Fall by Kaye Blue
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

bad boy, bad boy, .... you know how the song goes?
we meet up with the petran mob family. only this time we get to know Sorin a bit better.
as his brother has fallen hard for Fawn, he's more then pissed when Fawns friends keeps popping left right and center. he doesn't trust people outside of the family and he can't quite put his finger on it but this woman just rubs him the wrong way. she doesn't listen to him, she talks back to him, she doesn't shiver with fear when he tries to stare her down. he could just strangle her!
Ester is over the moon having her old BFF back in her life. she's not as happy with who'm she ended up with but she can see that Vasile is the world to her and that he'd protect her no matter what. now his brother is a whole different story. even after several months he still can't bring himself to be civil with her. there is a constant scowl on his face when he has to look at her. he's rude, he's cocky, he's full of himself. thinking he can be the boss of her, it's infuriating!
it's when Maria, Vasile and Fawn's premature born daughter, and her godparents, Soren and herself, are needed for a picture that things come to a boil. the ever present scowl just doesn't go away no matter how much Fawn threatens them but then Ester makes a very very bold move that leaves him flustered and speechless. She kissed him!
Sorin is taken aback with the boldness Esther displayed but the feelings it awoke only made it clear what had been simmering from the moment he met her months ago. thinking that a quick romp would get her out of his system, he's proven wrong. he only wants more but Esther is stubborn enough to not just give in.
both are battling with these new emotions. will they make it work? Esther isn't convinced Sorin is right for her, he's a mobster! he's violent, rude, dangerous and oh so sexy....
will they be able to just make things work or will they choose to break things up? how far will Sorin go to protect familie? and will Esther be able to adjust to a more dangerous life? she's not so sure when she gets kidnapped....

a more then good continuation in this mob saga! you already saw a bit of sorin in the first book, it isn't an easy life, this book shows even more how uneasy it can get!

Review: Rock Hard

Rock Hard Rock Hard by B.B. Hamel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

growing up there were pulled to each other but once they made that step to more, they got crushed when their respective parents told them they were getting married. she went away to college, he stayed and helped his mom, who got diagnosed with cancer, the best he could.
years pass and after graduating she returns home. her stepmom is doing good, her dad is working a lot and her, now, stepbrother looks even better then he did years ago. he's still cocky and now he's even more crude with his comments.
but their attraction from so many years ago is still there. question will be how long will it take before they give in? who will give in first?
but that's not all that matters. it's clear from the get go he's hiding a lot of things but little bit by little bit he comes clean. she couldn't have been more surprised.
will they be able to battle through these difficulties? will they make it at all? he wants to leave the last few years behind him but he'll have to do a lot of dangerous things to establish that. how dangerous can it get with the mob involved, right?
a tale of coming together and conquering a lot of hardships. good intentions go a long way but it's hard setting things right!
a story that shows that not all things are good and nice, it's a bad bad world out there with even badder people in it! but will good conquer evil? find out when you pick up your copy of this book.

Review: Keep

Keep Keep by Kaye Blue
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

he's a bad bad man. he's the head of his clan. during a meeting the "servant" girl catches his eye, which is already unbecoming of him, he has learned himself to be ignorant of others but this girl. he can't put his finger on it. as his host offers for her to "service" him, he doesn't blink an eye. when he's offered to have sex with her, he's still able to school his features but he's made up his mind. the girl's been offered and he plans on taking his host up on that offer, even going a step further and keeping her, indefinitely.
Fawn doesn't know what is happening to her, learned to shut up and do as she's told, she just goes along as the big hulking and tattooed man drags her along, out of the house, into a fancy car and drives to his own home. she knew her "boyfriend" dealt with dangerous men and she knew this one was one of them. she was afraid she got traded from one brute to another. his calm demeanor not giving away any of his feelings or thoughts, yet there was something about him. after offering her a clean shirt and the other side of his bed, she was surprised that he didn't want anything. the day after he send a girl to go shopping with her. that same day he announces she is free to go, that he won't keep her but that isn't counting on her feelings.
he gives her one chance to change her mind : "if we go further, you are mine!" hoping she'd listen to his warning, she did the opposite, she used it as an invitation.
and thus their roller coaster journey started with a lot of passion. but how long will passion last when you have taken and claimed another's man woman as your own? he's a mob boss and he promised her nothing could ever harm her...

this is such a contrasting story that gives so much insight at the inner turmoil Vasile is having from the moment he has set eyes on Fawn. his desire to have her, his desire to keep her safe but also his need to see her happy even at the cost of his own feelings. will Fawn be strong enough to stand up to him and claim what is hers and hers alone? there are some gruesome scenes but what else would you expect from a book where the leading man is the mob boss? not daisies and butterflies!! but a good read that doesn't have hang up and keeps flowing. i had to read it in one go, just couldn't put it down.

Review: A Bear's Nemesis

A Bear's Nemesis A Bear's Nemesis by Roxie Noir
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

growing up, Quin was told by her parents that shifters are bad. they abused their woman! they kill people! they're animalistic! but more and more she's starting to doubt that. the family, Quin included, had moved to Cascadia to protest against the shifters and their desire that have legal marriages for their triads (a triad mostly being two men and one woman). during the protest shots are fired and before she knows is Quin is wrestled to the ground to be protected from the bullets.
Julien didn't know how fast he had to act to shield the human girl. his bear was in an uproar cause he wanted to protect their mate! Julien wasn't all to happy to find out that the woman his bear wanted was the daughter of the pair that were the biggest anti-shifter protesters around. once the shooting is over, Julien is desperate to find Hudson, his mate. he can't help but drag him into a fierce hug and kissing the living daylights out of him, glad he was unharmed. a second later Hudson eye's fell upon Quin and , just as Julien, made that instant connection, just knowing that Quin was the missing part to their triad. but Quin being the daughter of makes it hard for both of them to reconcile those facts.
a day later and so much is happening. The Taylors (Quin parents) use the events from the shooting as a means to (try) sue Julien and Hudson...
and that's when things get interesting, that's when Quin finally starts standing up for herself and starts seeing things for what they are, even contacting her estranged brother.

if you want to find out if Quin will end up with Julien and Hudson or chooses a different path in life you'll have to pick up a copy of nr 2 in this series. there's romance, action, drama, simply it's all there. a wonderful read for when you're nesting on the couch and want some strong bears to fight for what they want!

what do you do when all you crave is sex? what do you do when all you feel good for is sex? you hump anything that lets you and be hump by anyone who is willing. but what is that alone isn't enough anymore? you set up a gang bang.
two of his ex's stop him from making the biggest mistake of his life and talk to him for a long time. convincing that he should join SAA, Sex Addict Anonymous. he obliges but he's not really living up to it. that is until someone else takes over the group talks and he can't do anything else but think and dream about that man.
faced with the biggest challenge in his life, he's unsure how to proceed. leave it up to him to tell the other man what he would love to happen...

a story about a hard struggle, any kind of addiction is hard to battle. how do you manage to live with it? do you give it up? do you think "screw it, i can make it work"? do you replace one addiction with another?

an emotional read. that both leads are male doesn't really matter to the conflict at the core of this story, but then again some M/m sexytime is never a bad thing to read *winks*

what a predicament they are in. drawn to each other romer and jessa are a bit lost as how to proceed. jessa is very clearly bearmarked, only her "mate" has up and left her with no means to find him apart from his name. romer is fighting his bear as much as he can because it's screaming that jessa is theirs but knowing she's marked that is a big no no.
will they ever find a way to make things work?
it's a thrilling ride to see how romer and jessa make due. how the others are rooting for them. it's also nice to get an update on them as well. this is a stand alone story that you can read on your own. enough is told not feel left out if you haven't read book 1. reading book will always add to the depth of the whole story so if you can : grab them both!!

Review: Taming His Beast

Taming His Beast Taming His Beast by Sennah Tate
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

this is a short but whirl-winding read. i "only" gave it three starts because i strongly belief that if the story was fleshed out more this would rise to be a superb story. the premise is there, the lovemaking and attraction is there, the conflict and drama is all there. it's just that i felt a little bit cheated out of a fuller story with so many things that have been told.
i liked the story and for as short a read as it was, it did cover almost everything to have a decent HEA.

Review: A Bear's Protection

A Bear's Protection A Bear's Protection by Roxie Noir
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

tired of always having to look over her shoulder, cora decides to move to the other side of the country, moving into shifter territory. not even there for two seconds and she's already pulled over for speeding.
a stickler for the rules ash is flustered when he pulls over a speeding car. his bear is going crazy, screaming and urging that their mate, the one person to complete their triad, is here. it's hard on him doing his job like he normally would and it's taking him even more effort to reign in his bear.
letting her go with just a warning he can't focus on his job and goes back to town, meeting up with his mate hunter.
they meet again but unsure of everything cora doesn't grab this opportunity and just makes a quick escape after waving at the two hot men.
hunter being the complete opposite to ash, makes a move on cora the day after. she called ash, reporting a break in into her car. so it's typically hunter to make the best of it!
as they all go on a date, things start to get heated but will they stay that way?
cora's sure that her luck will run out but will it?
will she be able to "keep" ash and hunter for her own?

this fast paced read is a really awesome read. the contrast in characters is real but it just works in this fictive world.
a must read for those loving bears and menages!!

Pure Blood: The Complete Series Pure Blood: The Complete Series by Terra Wolf
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

three stars, it could easily go up to 4 or five if some things were touched up. formatting could be a bit better so it's easier to read.
here and there were a few issues with inconsistencies. there were a lot of opportunities within the story to give it a lot more depth.
it are all major factor i keep in mind when reading, HOWEVER the core of the story, build up etc is there. i would read it again and enjoy the personal torment our leading man has to go through before deciding who and what is best for him and his bear.

Review: Kristin: Shiftr: Swipe Left for Love

Kristin: Shiftr: Swipe Left for Love Kristin: Shiftr: Swipe Left for Love by Ariana Hawkes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ariana does it again! this time it's kristin's turn to find love and her HEA. but it isn't easy, for starters she's a journalist and they can't tell about shifters. always finding the wrong guy for her, she isn't sure whether the 100% match is right for her. as she tests out the proximity option of the app she can't belief that the one shifter that is near is Roman, her 100% match! still convinced he's not for her she tries to break of all contact and even tries setting up a date with another shifter.
will she make it to that date or has fate other plans for kristin and roman?
if you're hooked on these books this is one you can't pass up! once again the shiftr app has people making mistakes and thinking the men on there are beyond them but they're so wrong!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

what a refreshing read! Tamika knows what she's doing when she set up the shiftr dating app. so many hunks collected in one place, all searching for that one true mate, sigh. what a shame there are no visuals...
there is a lot you can do on this app to try and find your match and just when Dina thinks she's got the one she does the one things that removes a profile from your list, she swipes right!!! distraught they call in the help of the app's creator Tamika and ask her for help.

can she help? will she help? will Dina be able to find the shifter she swiped of her list?

a must read if you like originality, a quick read and HEA.

Review: Sold to the Alpha: Complete Edition

Sold to the Alpha: Complete Edition Sold to the Alpha: Complete Edition by Cara Wylde
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

i'm glad i got the chance to read all the parts together. if i had to wait for the next part i would have been a grumpy person till the next part!!
it was a real roller-coaster of emotions. once you start on the first part you just have to know how it continues.
girls are growing up together in a boarding school type of environment. they're divided into groups -on paper- as to which shifter group they would be perfect brides to. one such girls is doing her best not to be chosen, she wants to be free and would go that extra mile to get her freedom. days before she planned her escape in strolls Max and gone are her plans. he's instantly intrigued by the curvaceous woman with reddish blond hair. he can't help but admire her spunk and attitude as she brushes of their conversation.
happy for her friends to be chosen for interviews, Avelyn is more then surprised when she's called in for an interview as well. when she sees it's the same man she met earlier, she's a bit confused. she'd hoped her behavior would have made it clear she had no interest in becoming a bride. but it seems that no matter what she says of does as just the opposite effect. seeing her escape plans fall apart she just has to try, with the help of her roommates she plots a swift escape. once loose in the big dark forest behind the school she starts to feel hopeful she has made it. that is until she's convinced she's being watched, and how right she was. Max set two guardians on her tail to watch over her. defeated, she lets them bring her back to the school. tired as she is, she can't put up a fight any longer and just goes with the flow, even when Max arrives early in the morning to bring her to his home. once settled, she's confined to their room, alone with her thoughts and one maid the visits often and takes care of her meals.
it's then she decides she's still not ready to give up her freedom and starts plotting a new plan to escape.

i wonder if at that moment she would have know what her plan would set in motion, she would have made the same choices. her plan certainly didn't work out as planned, not for her, nor for Max and his clans. nor for the other people that help them.

a wonderful read that sucks you in from start to finish!!

Reposting SIW

Those that pop in from time to time know I've started to re-post cleaned up chapters of Nick through FB. They'll stay up for a few weeks after I've posted the last chapter of that book. Then it's on to Chris' story. Once more, posting one chapter a week and chapters stay available for a bit after last chapter went live. Then it's on to Adam's. I won't post those chapters because they're still up on the blog and Literotica, I will add the new chapters as I go further with their story and link accordingly.

As for Ed's story, I'm still doubting but it will be more likely I will keep that to the blog only, hopefully with enough written to keep up a nice schedule for the rough draft.

There will be a prologue story and once I start that one I'll be starting to take down the free reads from SIW because I'll be starting the final stage for publishing.
If you want to be part of the process, I still have room for beta readers. If interested reply here or send me a pm via FB. If you're familiar with my work : YAY, if not : YAY. A fresh pair of eyes is always welcome!

I'm also setting up a new newsletter, not intended to spam you twenty-five a day but to keep you updated with my progress. You can sign up through the blog or through my FB-page. I'm not sending out much at the moment because I'm busy cleaning up Chris' story, getting my research data back in order (I lost everything...) and I'm looking into covers and I'm trying to find a good editor and and and... So many things things to do!!

Review: Encore

Encore Encore by Kallysten
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

we join Irene once more as she goes back to the bar where she met Rashid. she doesn't just find him but also Oliver, his vampire "boyfriend".
curious as to why Oliver is so obsessed with her music, she's easily convinced with a wager when Oliver claims to have music written by her hand but is still unfinished. going back to Oliver's place she's more then surprised to see how much of her sheet music he actually has. it's not the most recent ones either, the ones Rashid is playing in the bar, but pieces that go back centuries!

this part is a heartfelt telling of why Oliver is so much into her music as much as it is story about Irene accepting that her music, no matter how personal, is out there for others to hear. also Irene giving in to her need to "have" Rashid once more and to taste his very blood.

I'm really curious how they will eventually end up being?
this is a story with a lot of soul-searching and acceptance.
