I'm a rookie writer enjoying the flow of words sprouting out of my fingers. Sometimes it goes easy, at other times it's a real struggle. I love and crave any kind of feedback, good or bad. I write when I can, but a husband, two kids, 4.2 cats (aging from 15 years to 4 months) do take up most of my time. Yet I found the time to try out something I never thought I was good at. I started writing. I came to love it and enjoy the new friendships I've made with fellow writers I simply adore (well I like the writers, but adore their work *grins*)

Review: A Secret to Bear (Pacific Bear Clan) (Fated Mates 1)

A Secret to Bear (Pacific Bear Clan) (Fated Mates 1) A Secret to Bear (Pacific Bear Clan) (Fated Mates 1) by Ana James
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Scarlet felt lost after her father died. With little left she gathered up a few clothes and set out to go to Strykersford. Something pulled her toward this little town, a lot of the things her father told her revolved around this tiny place and its people. He also told her a lot about bears. Most of it was lost on her as she grew up but now she felt it was time to check out the place.
Before she even arrives she’s surprised by two bears, trying to avoid a collision she gets off road, bumping her head. As she comes too there’s not a sign of the bears instead she comes face to face with Max.
He takes it upon himself to take care of her and help her. Bit by bit she’s starting to piece things together, not they were being kept from her but she had a hard time believing them. It’s when she tells his mother who her father was that things get a bit confusing.
As it turned out her father was well respected in town and they all still grieved his loss. Having his daughter in town now is difficult for many.
Not sure what to do she thinks that leaving is the best thing she can do, but is it really?
Bad individuals from the past come knocking on their doors and a lot happens that put a lot of things at stake.
Will she go away? Will she stay? It’s all up for debate.
This was a very captivating read. Seeing how they grew together so quick. Another masterpiece from Karolyn and Ana.
