I'm a rookie writer enjoying the flow of words sprouting out of my fingers. Sometimes it goes easy, at other times it's a real struggle. I love and crave any kind of feedback, good or bad. I write when I can, but a husband, two kids, 4.2 cats (aging from 15 years to 4 months) do take up most of my time. Yet I found the time to try out something I never thought I was good at. I started writing. I came to love it and enjoy the new friendships I've made with fellow writers I simply adore (well I like the writers, but adore their work *grins*)

Review: Delta Salvation

Delta Salvation Delta Salvation by Elle Boon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

the anticipation for this book! it's been a while since i was this happy for a book to go live and be able to read it. for me the characters aren't that new since i've read other books by elle boon and this is a side step from another series. i loved how she still made the different series work and get the characters together.
Failure is not an option is a phrase used by Seals and in this book you'll come to understand why and to what lengths they'll go to protect their own!. the story of kai and alexa was a rollercoaster ride. going from one heated situation to the next, one more dangerous then the other more naughtier! when more facts are put on the table it's up to kai and alexa to figure out how they'll handle them and if they can move forward.
a thrilling ride from start to finish and i can't wait for more of this series!

Review: Wild Bear

Wild Bear Wild Bear by Scarlett Grove
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

shane had it all. bad boy persona in the public eye but he could cook like no other. his temper in the kitchen legendary but it all came crumbling down when shifters were made public and he was outed as a bear. his tantrums weren't a good thing anymore and he got drafted as a soldier like all the other shifters. things have settled down but shane still has issues with his bear and his shifting.
he thought his past was in his past but when a dating app (made by one of the rescue bear team) matching him with the one person from his past he actually cared about he finds out more and what he finds is life-altering!!
how will this wild bear conquer his past and his problems? the woman matched with him has always loved him for years and is willing to fight for him, will he be able to accept her? will he be able to forgive her for the secret she kept all those years?
read book two about the rescue bears as with this story you get more glimpses in the lives of the others.
loved this story, the emotion in it, the battles that were fought, the drama... another great book miss grove!

Review: Hunted Wolf

Hunted Wolf Hunted Wolf by Camryn Rhys
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

as the one person who actually wanted to go home but decided to stay with the group hannah isn't really fond of violence and of they they had plenty in the last few days and weeks. she was ready to go back home and settle with the man her parents thought was good for her.
fate had other plans when her magick pulled her straight to one of the rangers. he was rude, he ignored her and he was everything she didn't look for in a man. however her wolf was whistling and agreeing with fate that Viper was one fine specimen of a wolf.
viper didn't know what the stirring in his stomach was but it was something he could do without, he was here for a mission and one mission only: take out adrian rossi. the little pixie just had to shut up and keep her feelings to herself. it would jeopardize the mission.
but hannah isn't having any of it, she noticed he felt the magick too and in her pack it's custom when fated mates recognize the magick they bond right away and that is just what she wants and does after she's able to wring it out of him that he feels it too. little did she know what it would do with them both.
as the team gets moving, they get separated. they stumble across other people running away from the main house and it's then things really are set in motion. it's when it's all over it becomes clear how low rossi had gotten to chase his dream and to make that dream come true.

what an ending to this story!! so much heartache so much trouble, the pain and agony that is portrayed in this final book is heart wrenching.
i loved the end epilogue, touching base with all the couples formed in this series and see how they're faring.

Review: Broken Wolf

Broken Wolf Broken Wolf by Krystal Shannan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

things are getting heavier in this part of themoonbound series. maggie and luther have their bond in place but that doesn't distract them for the task at hand. for the next step they need a new outsider and luther knows just the person, Vadik, a russian mercenary. when the team is waiting on him vadik is already assesing the team and he can't understand why luther is so wrapped up in the tiny wisp of a woman next to him. what gets on his nerves even more is the fact he knows he has a dangerous job to do and the people he sees with luther have zero to none credibility, he doesn't know them and he doesn't find anything on them!
and then there is the blonde in the group, she stirs something deep inside of him, something he knows for sure will distract from the mission. one that's even made harder when the blonde and himself have to pose as Master and slave in order to get on the island.
andrea isn't all too happy with how things are going and when vadik enters the picture and her magick comes alive it's even more complicated. she doesn't have a submissive bone in her body despite the fact she likes to make everyone happy and at ease. but for their task to succeed she has to act like a slave. as time is an issue they get a crash course on how to act with each other but that is like pouring oil on a fire and untill they deal with their true feelings their pretend relationship is doomed to fail.
will vadik and andrea be able to pull off this elaborate scheme? what will they find on the island because each step closer to rossie tells more secrets and none of them are good!

loved this part even with the good, the bad and ugly times! it's a rollercoaster ride toward the conclusion of this story, can't wait to read how this all will turn out!!

Review: Saving a Wolf

Saving a Wolf Saving a Wolf by Camryn Rhys
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

when dani fails to seduce maggie steps in and gives it a shot herself. their one link onto the rossi island is luther, a mountain of a main, unaffected by flirting whatsoever. but they need his cooperation to get where they want to be, to get closer to rossi and see what is happening on the island.
what maggie didn't count on if the magick flaring up when she gets closer to luther. fate must be having a field day when one by one her teammates find their fated mates. luther does his best to avoid her but he doesn't know her tenacity! she doesn't have much time and goes in full force. she wants luther and she needs to get on the island!!
things don't always turn out the way you want and she find out a lot more then she wanted to find out. the island is a litte piece of hell on earth, making maggie even more determined in the fact that rossi needs to be dealth with!
during all of this the two manage to get closer to each other, even more so when luther is told rather early on that werewolves aren't a thing of legend but are a reality, maggie shifting in front of him proof of that. with all those facts lining up he also starts to realize her talk about mates is a lot more then just a feeling.
how will maggie and luther fare on the island? and with each other?
how will their alpha's react when they find out more about rossi and his diabolical schemes?

jump back on the moonbound train in this thrilling and captivating adventure! loved the first five books and this one is just as good. we're closing in on rossi!!

Review: A Mate's Redeeming Touch

A Mate's Redeeming Touch A Mate's Redeeming Touch by Merryn Dexter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ven and Caitlyn, two wolves matched by fate but neither really can't belief they're chosen for each other.
Ven forced to be among the pack and humans, troubled with himself and his past is convinced he's no mate material and does his best to avoid Caitlyn at all costs. luckily his wolf has other ideas.
Caitlyn has her own crappy past, a past her family reminds her of every single day. moving forward is hard to do but now that they returned to the pack (now it has a new alpha) she starts to see things for what they are. she's convinced fate has pulled one on her when grumpy, arrogant, constantly angry Ven is tossed in her path. she recognizes the bond but she's unsure of how to proceed. once more her wolf is the smarter one.
the title of this books explains it all, it's nice coming together of two troubled persons who hopefully will be able to work through the issues they're having to deal with.
it had a nice pace to the story telling, loved that with each part you still get to learn how the others in this serial are doing without straying from the main characters too much.

Review: The Alpha's Fight

The Alpha's Fight The Alpha's Fight by Michelle Fox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

waking up in a nursing home not knowing who you are, what happened, how you got there, can do strange things with you. same goes for the fact you keep screaming about shifters while you turn out to be one yourself.
luckily for our "jane doe" Tillie takes her under her wing and even manages to set up a blind date with her grandson that is coming to visit her in a few days.
once "jane" and the grandson, Ryder, meet each other it's like everything is speeding up. little things start triggering her memory and with ryder's help she gets closer to finding out who she is, why she ended up in the nursing hom. that along the way ryder stirs a lot of feelings inside of her is a nice bonus.
at first ryder is reluctant to step up but when his grandmother trusts and care fore someone, she goes the whole nine yards for them. quite a few alarm-bells go off when he meets "jane" and hears her story. when he starts connecting lines, things don't look so good. his own agenda is compromised as well and sorting out that mess should be his priority but as days pass and jane's story gets more twists into it then a bowl of spaghetti. as more facts get to the surface and they all get a more clear look on it all one would wish your memory stayed lost!

really liked how this story was build up, the characters were developed and those that needed liking were liked, those that needed hating were hated with a vengeance. there was a nice pace to the story, never had the feeling parts were just added as filler. everything made sense.
though this is book 3 in the series, you can read it on it's own, enough is told to make links with events and characters from the previous .

Review: Charged: A Stepbrother Romance Novel

Charged: A Stepbrother Romance Novel Charged: A Stepbrother Romance Novel by Stephanie Brother
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

the blurp and the book have a bit of a hard time to get on the same page but it gets there eventually. the build up of the whole story is well done, the interplay of the characters is there too. the chemistry between leighton and grace is sizzling. there were a few moments in the book where some opportunities were missed to delve deeper into the characters instead of giving the story more twists. i enjoyed leighton's tenacity of going for what he wants.
the epilogue felt rather sudden as to give it "an" ending, again wouldn't have minded to read more of the time in between, build up the storydetails instead of now being given a rundown of facts.

Review: Dark Panther

Dark Panther Dark Panther by Catherine Vale
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

in a bookstore you can come across a whole variety of people and that is just what happens to Leia. the presence of that man draws her in like a moth to a flame, when she sees what he's browsing too she can't help but flush and be puzzled. the attraction between these two people is very evident and hard to miss. still leia is reserved but nathan charms his way under her skin. they slowly get to know each other but things get a fast forward when her ex boyfriend amps up his stalker skills and can't leave her alone. it that time she learns there is more to nathan then she knew and it makes her doubt if seeing him at all is a good thing, but there is that special thing about nathan that keeps drawing her in and deep down she knows he is different.
will she be able to get over her own fears? will nathan be able to fulfill his deepest desires? and with whom?
how will her ex boyfriend/stalker fair now there is a new man on the scene?
a fast paced ride to acceptance and learning new things. the characters were captivating, would have liked a bit more "in scene"-play to explain/see their interaction a bit better but as is, it didn't bring down the story at all. wouldn't mind reading more about this pair and their journey with each other.

Review: Catching the Tiger

Catching the Tiger Catching the Tiger by Sennah Tate
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

and the plot thickens in this installment! years ago, sean had a chance encounter with a woman he later figured out was his mate. but he only knew her first name and that was it. that was until he heard her voice on the TV. he played/rewinded her interview several times but his tiger and himself agreed. it was her, their one true mate!! she was now an upcoming interior designer. the perfect way for him to get back in touch with her was easy to get. now all he had to do was woo her socks of. this would go easy if it wasn't for the fact he more or less is summoned by a pack elder, ringing all his alarm bells and whistles. if later on a friend only confirms his suspicions things don't go so well.
she on the other hand is a witch with one special and rare skill set, she can see auras, the reason why she's so successful as a designer. this also helps her to identify the evil influence a certain witch in this coven has. her need to prove herself right has the group on high alert. together they're looking for a way to get proof but it isn't easy!

the plot with the substory thickens as we go on. a war is brewing and i'm starting to wonder if they will ever get to the bottom of this! the wait for the next book will be an impatient one! on the plus side another couple has bonded and i'm quite sure all the bonds made so far will play a crucial role, i'm sure of it! goes sulking in a corner while waiting.

Adrian: Mating Fever Adrian: Mating Fever by V. Vaughn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

i had hoped we would see a bit more of adrian in this story but it resolves more around Ginny his new mate and her struggle to accept her bear and she has to deal with the consequences of this change. it's hard for her to control her bear and if it wasn't for adrian and his brothers exposing them would be a real possibility, thanks to the four brothers and their swift reactions she's safe every time a sudden change is upon her.
only after she's visited with her sister and ana does she start to understand why she's adjusting in a difficult way. as the days go on and she's starting to understand her bear and the new skillset she brings she also starts to understand that her current studies may not be what she needs to pursue. even now the band is getting forward she's even doubting staying with them is the right way.
will she be able to come to terms with everything and make it work?
to get to know all these details you better pick up a copy and read this part in the "rocked by the bear" series.
it shed a bit of light on the fact that not every change is easy and that, well, your bear is always right ...

can't wait to see what the future holds for the next brother!

Review: Chief Bear (Bear Shifter Paranormal Romance)

Chief Bear (Bear Shifter Paranormal Romance) Chief Bear (Bear Shifter Paranormal Romance) by Scarlett Grove
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

really loved this first book in this new series by scarlett grove. i know she can write shifter you just have to love!
this just delivers and ticks all the right boxes.
levi is a former seal who's now owning and running a lodge up on the mountain. he's also head of the local rescue bears, also all former seal's.
one of them has developed an app to find a compatible human woman, hopefully the one who turns out to be their fated mate. it has a high success rate and Levi is a bit curious about it. lately he's been a bit broody, longing for someone to call his own. he decides to give the app a try and rather quickly finds a match with juliet.
juliet's been out and about, she loves what she does for a job, she's only no longer happy with where she works and for whom. the whom being her ex-boyfriend now her direct boss. a sniffling snake who doesn't pass up an opportunity to drag her down!
one night out her friends point out this new dating app to find a shifter boyfriend. it's been a while since the shifters came out and after a lot of ups and downs things finally started to settle. but it got a bit harder for the shifters to find their mate now they were "out".
her friends urge her to try it out, you never know. when she sees all the shifter men on the app she can't get over the fact they're all looking handsome, but that one who's said to be a 100% match with her takes the cake.
weeks pass with texts and mails going back and forth. what will these two do when julliet's friend decide to have her wedding at the lodge owned by levi? inadvertently putting them together face to face. with the app be correct?

there are a few more things happening but they're too good to write about, zach is all i say. he seems to be a handful hihi
i hope this group of bears keep growing. they're just so likable.

Review: Bait This!

Bait This! Bait This! by Tasha Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

there isn't much i haven't read from miss tasha that i didn't love. this new series of her was right there on top with the rest of her books.
the build up and anticipation was sucking me right into the book which was hard to put down until i reached the end.
we're still familiar with the world she created in earlier books and little hints here and there will sound familiar to the reader.
in the first book we meet derek, an orphaned shifter who's blessed with a "curse" of 300 moons. he never gave it much tought and mostly he was able to control his bear into submission. but as of late his bear was getting stronger and more stubborn. when he decides to fly home to his mom, his plane crashes. he's found by a woman that has his bear in a very determined state of lust, want and need. fighting his bear as best as he can, he has to agree with it that their rescuer is one fine woman. when things around her go a bit wrong he can't help but be protective of her.
as the events play out he also has to come to terms with his bear and the "curse"

can't wait to find out how the rest of his brother's respond to their "curse"!

blaine is bad
blaine is hedonistic
blaine doesn't give a crap
blaine sees someone from his past
blaine takes what he wants
what he didn't expect was the rest of his past coming along with her.
what he didn't expect was her breaking down the walls around his heart

getting to know this character in the previous books, he was someone you either hated or loved. i loved him and reading his story only made it better!

liked the story very much. it was easy to read and follow. it's not just a no-brainer book, there are a few moments you have to get your head in the game, other moments you could just enjoy the scene.
there were a few minor typo's but nothing major to distract from the book, maybe a few inconsistencies that could be corrected but they don't appear in the whole book, again something that could be corrected.
maybe there could have been told a bit more about the race but since there are more books following i hope we'll get told more as we read more of this series.

even if this story is a bit of a taboo, it focuses a lot on the emotional feelings (the more daring parts are sizzling, no complaining there). their journey crosses worlds and has many ups and downs, a lot of pain, a lot of making up. it's a very good read.

Review: Alpha Heat: 21 Tantalizing Contemporary & Paranormal Romance Short Stories

Alpha Heat: 21 Tantalizing Contemporary & Paranormal Romance Short Stories Alpha Heat: 21 Tantalizing Contemporary & Paranormal Romance Short Stories by Elianne Adams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

a nice set of short stories that introduces the writers and their style to you, the reader. with 21 shorts i'm sure not every story was to my liking but i can say i enjoyed almost all of them.
you have all kinds of stories, some romantic, some fast paced (which in a way they all are) but they all share that common thing: they lure us away from reality and give us a few moments to dream away and enjoy another persons joy and happiness.

Review: SPRING FEVER: A Paranormal Romance Collection

SPRING FEVER: A Paranormal Romance Collection SPRING FEVER: A Paranormal Romance Collection by Emerald Wright
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

another wonderfull set with an amazing line-up of authors. their shifters are dominating, handsome, sometimes irritating the hell out of you but none the less very likeable and very easy on the eyes!
ana lowe's desert moon is such an example of an awesome book. it's a nice introduction to this series. those wolves are just... stubborn to start with but once they get sniffing in the right direction ... i say no more!
ariana hawkes' Shiftr series is just as good. the app that is introduced in this series should be real! one after the other finds true love in this series.
and these ladies are joined with more writers that give us the same level of reading! one good book after the other!
if you want to give a few of them a try out this is the collection to get!

Review: The Right Side of My Pillow

The Right Side of My Pillow The Right Side of My Pillow by LaShawn Vasser
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

promises are meant to broken, that's what jade "cricket" anderson learns the hard way. growing up with cole in the same housing-group was hard but when he didn't show when she turned 18 she made choices that she thought were for the best.
skip forward ten years. jade is bearly making due juggling two jobs to pay for her rent. she isn't feeling all to well and the feeling doesn't go away, even gets worse when cole and entourage enter the restaurant she's working at. cole is surprised to see her and acts like nothing bad happened. that is the drop for jade and she quickly changes tables with another waitress, she doesn't want to get involved with him.
but when she takes a turn for the worse and ends up being taken to hospital Cole shows up as the knight in shining armor. he offers even more help as he overheard her conversation with her landlord. seems her former roommate skipped town with more then just her personal things, she kindly forgot to pay the rent and now she's being evicted with 2 days left to get her things out.
cole offers her to stay with him until she's back on her feet. his girlfriend isn't all too happy with this arrangement and puts on a brafe front for the most part but when she gets jade alone she shows her true colors;
jade couldn't care less because there aren't any romantic feelings between them. right? sure she had a crush on him when they were younger and today he looked even hotter but his interest has always been that of a big brother.
then how does she explain the feelings that keep popping up? how can she explain how easy it is to be around him even when she's angry or upset?
his girlfriend showing her true nature isn't making things easier and things have to be sorted because how they are now isn't working for anyone.

a wonderful story about two people finding each other again, finding out how they've changed and what has stayed the same. growing up together made all the difference for them but they end up in whole different situations. neither is happy but will they find a way to come together and make a future? loved this story enormously! felt a bit sad when it was done. can hope for a visit later on.

Review: Keep: The Wedding

Keep: The Wedding Keep: The Wedding by Kaye Blue
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

we go back to our "first" couple. things are going good, as good as can be for a mobster. as he takes care of business, he knows that the love of his life is a target and he doesn't want to make it bigger with commitment, he likes things the way they are. he mostly can dominate her resistance but things grow restless between them.
when she's "arrested" and taken in for questioning (or rather driven somewhere secluded) she stands her ground.
when she turns back up at their home he's more then relieved to have her back in his arms, he even tells her they'll get married. but her reaction isn't what he thought it would be and it takes a good talking down from his brother to realize he really messed up with her.

what will it take to get a mob boss on his knees?

i loved getting back in touch with the petrans, seeing how finding love has changed them but yet they stay bad ass mobsters! can't wait to see if more is added to this series as i loved book one to three, i also loved this one just the same!

Review: Wolf's Den - A BBW Shifter Romance Novel

Wolf's Den - A BBW Shifter Romance Novel Wolf's Den - A BBW Shifter Romance Novel by D. H. Cameron
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

loved this trilogy, liked they were put together and i was able to read them all in big sitting!
in this story female wolves are rare, almost unheard of. but when yeager comes back - 7 years after he found his mate when she was just a 12 year old - he's still head over heals for cassie. things in town are a bit rowdy with the wolf's run going on.
cassie has a hard time keeping the diner open and the wolf's run is the event of the year that makes her the most money to manage the rest of the year. this year it all goes downhill when dolan sets foot in her diner and bullies everyone, including her and her staff. a stranger, as big and intimidating as dolan, steps in to diffuse the situation.
introducing himself as yeager, cassie can't help but feel safe around him. he looks a bit older then her but he doesn't seem to care about that. he's turning on the charm a notch an asks her out.

this is the start of a journey she never thought possible. she goes from being human to being told there is a thing like shifters. being told by yeager that their mates just seems surreal to her but when she sees people changing into wolves right in front of her she has to start believing he's telling the truth.
taking care of dolan is only the start of their journey together. after dolan they thought they would have their happily ever after but a few months down the line trouble comes knocking on their door and their bond is tested, so is their endurance. calling in shifter friends is the only way to find a way out of the bad situation they find themselves in. it's dangerous for all of them, specially since they are out numbered!

it's a three part story that flowed well from one part into the next. together they make a wonderful story with no cliffhangers. i can secretly hope the author will visit this group again in the future, i wouldn't mind a little check up a few years down the line.

what an addition this was! i had trouble putting down book 1 and book 2 was no different!
it's clear snake eyes is a bunch of trouble waiting to happen and their members and / or ex-members aren't people you want to mess with, specially when you threaten the people they care about! i'll keep an eye for book 3!

Review: Bodyguard: A Bad Boy Stepbrother Romance

Bodyguard: A Bad Boy Stepbrother Romance Bodyguard: A Bad Boy Stepbrother Romance by Tabatha Kiss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

he's been of the grid for months but when he sees on the news that a presidential candidate is murdered and roxie, the moviestar is hurt with a knife, he knows his time of hiding is over!
only one person could make him stand up from the dead and that's roxie, his stepsister, known to him as dani. the signal that's given is clear enough and he knows in turn that her life is in grave danger! but what made him leave (or get sent away) all those years ago, is still there. stubborn and willfully he has a hard time convincing their parents that she's better off with him until he can settle what needs settling. it takes more danger and a semi-kidnapping to make dani understand that fox means what he says.
the journey they embark on is filled with danger, a battle of wills and feelings. will they keep resisting each other or is the feeling that started so many years ago too strong to be ignored?

will snake eyes, the group that recruited fox, catch up with them?

will their feelings catch up with them?

there is a lot on the line for these two!

fast paced, thrilling ride that leaves room to battle the forbidden feelings. the danger and intrigue kept me wanting to keep on reading until the book was finished! loved it and can't wait to read book 2. though this is a series and part of the story seems interwoven you can read each on their own!

Review: Icy Passage

Icy Passage Icy Passage by Ann Gimpel
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

miss ann did it again! once more she pulled me into this story from the get go. it kept rooting for the good guys and gals and kept cursing at the bad ones. there is a bit of technical talk going on, the first few times i had to wrap my head around the terms for a bit but as the story went one they became "regular language". the story is as much a personal journey as it is a coming together of kindred spirits.
i normally try to give a little intro to the story but this one covers so much that you just have to pick up a copy of your own.
those familiar with miss ann's work will not be surprised at the level of penmanship of this lady and those that are new to this writer will get a complete package : danger, love, friendship, romance, violence, something paranormal and a nice ending to this tale but an option to revisit them (which i'm rooting for!!!)
