I'm a rookie writer enjoying the flow of words sprouting out of my fingers. Sometimes it goes easy, at other times it's a real struggle. I love and crave any kind of feedback, good or bad. I write when I can, but a husband, two kids, 4.2 cats (aging from 15 years to 4 months) do take up most of my time. Yet I found the time to try out something I never thought I was good at. I started writing. I came to love it and enjoy the new friendships I've made with fellow writers I simply adore (well I like the writers, but adore their work *grins*)

Review: Wild Game

Wild Game Wild Game by Alisa Woods
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

owen has one job: protect nova wilding at all costs. after her father was murdered it's clear she's the next target. being on her security team isn't a hard job because all she does is work and work and work some more.
that doesn't stop him from noticing how alluring she to him and hiw wolf (or whatever creature is left inside of him) being one of the few that survived a whole bunch of gruesome tests and experiments he's not sure what kind of animal he has inside, all he knows he isn't an ordinary wolf anymore and not shifting is hard but he manages it.
when he comes head to head with nova it's like suddenly all bets are off and his inner wolf has a mind of its own. a mind set on having nove all for himself.
that isn't counted on nova's strong belief in doing what is right for the pack and her company. being the unmated daughter of their former alpha, the pressure is huge! but then there is owen, the one constant in her life, her secret desire. things have been building up and nova can't help but to keep pushing his buttons. when she pushed to hard she wasn't really prepared to be kissed to within an inch of her life. but her sense of duty kills all feelings of need and lust she has.
when an attempt on her life is made it's up to owen to keep her safe and he's not letting her out of his sight! knowing this is asking for trouble he can't be helped to be pulled towards her.
conflicted as both are, they keep fighting and accepting each other on so many levels, it's just heartbreaking to see.
then there is the one suitor who thinks he's god's best gift to wolfkind and thinks by manipulating nova he can get a hold over the pack and company.
it isn't an ideal situation for any of the parties involved, but a lot of soul-searching is needed as well as a whole lot of action to get to their happily ever after!
a fast paced story that covers so many areas. love, friendship, betrayal, danger, fear, heartache are all in the mix to make this a story worth having on your reading list!
